During our weekend in Cape Town we visited Cape Point, which is the most south-western tip of africa. It was a cool place, with a lot of baboons(and a few other animals). Afterwards we drove home Stallenbosch where there are many, many wine vineyards.

A little park type area on the outskirts of Cape Town. We drove by it on our way to cape point.

A bay at cape point...nothing too interesting going on here.

A baboon on the side of the road! Actually, there were several of them.

Light house out on the point. There is another older, non-operational lighthouse above that we walked up to.

We found a very cool beach that was completely surrounded by cliffs. Sarah and I explored, but missed Kerri's close encounter with a baboon while we were gone:).

Sarah on the way down to the beach. I decided to take the other route;).

One end of the beach

The other end of the beach. That is the old light house and weather station on top of the cliff.

Sarah on the beach. There are a few other people there, who can barely be seen in the background.

I figured I had to at least stick my feet in the water. I wish I could say this was the Indian ocean I was standing in, but unfortunately we were on the wrong side of the peninsula for that.

This large piece of rock sticking up out of the beach was home to a LOT of these groundhog-like rodents.

The cape of good hope, where Sarah and I met Kerri and Dr. Hobson after our visit to the beach. This was the location of the baboon incident.

We stopped by an ostrich farm near Stollenbosch. These are ostriches. Ostriches are very yummy animals.
